Podcast - Thryve (2) copy.png

In this episode of the Thryving Mother Podcast, I’m chatting with Molly Nourmand, a Perinatal Psychotherapist (LMFT), Founder of Life After Birth, and mother about Matrescence and what life looks like after birth. Due to her own experience with postpartum depression, Molly felt called to usher women through their initiation into motherhood and has since created Life After Birth™ to support women through their metamorphosis of becoming mothers.

We dive deep into conversations about the initiation into motherhood, postpartum mood disorders, how our new identity can birth a new career path, the power of collective support, the identity shift and matresence, self-care & internal mindset.

About Molly (in her own words)

I'm a licensed psychotherapist, yogini and mother. My multilayered lens brings healing, integration and transformation to the lives of women through both 1:1 and group therapy. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic theory, and informed by over a decade of teaching yoga and meditation, as well as an ongoing exploration of Somatic Experiencing. I received a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and have been doing clinical work in the mental health field since 2011. Due to my own experience with postpartum depression, I feel called to usher women through their initiation into motherhood. I completed the Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy training with Postpartum Support International, and have translated my passion into a specialty in my practice. I created Life After Birth™ in 2017 to support women through their metamorphosis of becoming mothers.
